The New Mexico Bowl is an Albuquerque-based bowl game played in New Mexico. The bowl game is usually held at the University Stadium at the grounds of the University of New Mexico. It had been a while since a game was played in the New Mexico area, and the debut of the New Mexico Bowl took place in 2006. Although there was no particular sponsor for the 2006 event, the payout for each university was at $750,000.

The New Mexico Bowl games are held every post-season and managed by the NCAA. Two conferences are represented in the New Mexico Bowl, the Western Athletic Conference and the Mountain West Conference.
